Almost all deliveries will be carried out by a Pallet Network Courier (for local deliveries in the CH & L, CW, & parts of LL postcodes, it is possible that the delivery will be done by our own crane off load vehicle). Please note the Pallet Network couriers operate large vehicles and will require sufficient access to your delivery point.

Our free delivery service for palletised goods covers the UK Mainland. Deliveries are generally 2/3 days from date of order. Our free delivery service does not include the following areas, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Scottish Islands & Northern Ireland and all other off shore islands. If you wish to place an order for these areas, please contact us for additional delivery charges.

Parcels are sent via parcel carrier and can take 2-3 days.

Delivery Procedure

Your order will arrive on a wooden pallet. The driver will lower this to the ground using the hydraulic tail-lift fitted to the vehicle and use a hand operated pallet truck to move the pallet off the tail-lift platform. We can only guarantee a kerb side delivery, however where possible the driver will attempt to move the pallet to another area (driveway, pathway etc). This will only be possible if the surface is firm and level, such as concrete, block paving and tarmac etc and at the driver?s discretion. The pallet truck will not operate on any uneven or soft surface such as grass or gravel or on steep slopes. If the pallet is left at the kerbside it will then be your responsibility to transfer the product to your preferred area. If there is an access issue for large vehicles (the size of a refuse lorry etc) on the roads leading to your property, please let us know before you place your order.

As the deliveries will be made during normal working hours we understand it might not be possible for you to sign for the delivery. We are happy to deliver without the customer or a representative present however we cannot accept liability for any damage or theft to the items delivered. You will be asked to confirm your acceptance to non signed for deliveries at the checkout page.

Darlies will make every effort to satisfy your delivery requirements, however if we attempt to deliver your goods and it is not possible to carry out our delivery duties due to lack of / incorrect delivery information, the customer will be liable for any re-delivery charges which we will incur from the carrier. We will also not accept liability for non-delivery, caused by circumstances beyond our control. Re-delivery charges are ?45.00 + VAT per pallet.

Delivery Days

Delivery Days ? our pallet network courier provides deliveries from Monday – Friday between the hours of 8am -5pm. If required, we can offer other special delivery services. The options include, Next Day Deliveries, Timed Deliveries and Saturday deliveries.

Damaged Goods

Your delivery should arrive without damage to the products or packaging. If your order arrives with any damaged bags or bags missing, please accept the delivery and sign the delivery paperwork as received with damaged / missing bags. We will agree a refund with you for the number of bags that were received damaged/missing. All wooden pallets, bulk bags and associated packaging are non-returnable and we politely request you recycle these products where possible.

Returns ? Cancelled Orders

For orders delivered by a parcel carrier, we would recharge you the redelivery cost for returning the items to us. The current charge would be ?15.00 for a parcel up to 25kgs.

For palletised orders that are cancelled whilst on route or returned due to ground/access conditions being unsuitable for pallet deliveries, this will incur a return delivery charge of ?100.00 plus VAT per pallet

If you choose to cancel your order, the goods must be returned to Darlingtons Group Ltd. Returned goods must be suitably packed to help ensure their safe return – we request that the original packing materials are used for this purpose. Where goods are returned for reasons other than loss, damage, or error on our part, you are liable for the return shipping costs.

We ask that the goods are returned within 14 days. If you fail to return the goods, we reserve the right to charge for the cost of collecting the goods, and you are legally obliged to make them freely available for collection. We do not charge any restocking fees.
